I attended a songwriting workshop yesterday, and we talked about writing a song that is pro-peace vs anti-war... then I find that QuakerDave is invading my brain and reading my thoughts! How did he do that??? Or maybe it is just alchemy. Alchemy-any magical power or process of transmuting a common substance, usually of little value, into a substance of great value. This is my new favorite word, stolen from a dear friend who listens to her heart, listens to God's voice within, and takes all of life's bumps in the road as opportunities. We have an opportunity to transform the growing anti-war sentiments that cloud our public consciousness into opportunities to talk about peace and equality and social justice... we can transform our angst into positive action. So... if you were writing a song about peace, what would it say???
